Got bugs in your house? Or a big sticky mess on your floor?
You don't need expensive sprays and floor cleaners. Here are a couple super cheap--but still effective--ways to deal.

Mouthwash. That's right, I said mouthwash.

You don't put baking soda in with your vinegar?

Sometimes, to clean jewelry or shower heads (the reaction gets into the small crannies very well). But it's not always necessary and can be more of a hassle than it's worth. Specially if you're clumsy like me. :)

For lots of things, just vinegar will do. I clean my counters and table with vinegar and hot water (because I'm too much of a sucker to shoo my cats off when they're being adorable, and vinegar won't hurt them).

Baking soda can also be used by itself if you need a soft abrasive, like when you clean the inside of a bottle or jar. When I do those I like to put baking soda, hot water, and rice in the jar and shake it up. Better than brillo pads!

Thanks for the link. My problem is I rarely clean in the first place, haha!

I have that problem too. Hence the need for drain cleaner to mop the floor! :)

I wish I could buy Red Devil lye in stores...I hate that they banned it or whatever for purchase. That was just regular old lye, I used it to make soap. Now when I get the urge to do that I have to order it and get it shipped special XD Of course that would not be good to use on the floors...haha
