Couponing
Does anyone use coupons to get extremely cheap or free items?

Though there are some things a person just doesn't need (for instance, a robotic vacuum cleaner) however there are certain things that almost everyone requires at one point or another.  While I've been paring down my spending, for the past two years I've been a "couponer".  Now, I don't mean like what you might have seen on "Extreme Couponing" -- I do not purchase in bulk the way they do, and over-run my entire house with a stockpile -- but I do have a healthy stockpile, mostly of health and beauty items.  The only food items I have stocked up on are condiments, like BBQ sauce, ketchup, mustard and salad dressings; I don't stock up much on food because we're trying to eat a Paleo sort of diet.  Meaning fresh fruits, veggies and meat for the most part.

Anyhoo, there are SO many items you can get for cheap or free if you know how to coupon effectively, even at places like Walgreens & CVS, which are typically a convenience store.  I pick up items for free (I call it cherry picking!) when I can get them using coupons, such as shampoo, conditioner, deodorants, mouthwash - and they're all name brand items as well.  One thing I'll never have to buy again is toothpaste, because that can always be had for free thanks to coupons.

And another good thing about couponing?  No more impulse buying!

I also am trying a paleo diet! Just started this week. Wish me luck!

And wasn't the book laugh out loud funny?
